Students of our language program are assigned to an online English language courses by level: A2, B1, B2 or higher with a maximum of 8 students and meet two (or three times) per week for 1.5 hours. To monitor and ensure progress, students are assessed at regular intervals and are advanced in accordance with their English placement test scores. Students can advance from one level to the next every four months (1 session).
A) Basic Level (A2)
Basic English skills for beginners.
Duration: 1 session (4 months)
Content:
- Grammar and Sentence Structure: Covers essential grammatical concepts, tenses, and sentence construction.
- Vocabulary Building: Expands basic vocabulary and introduces common English phrases and expressions.
- Listening and Speaking Skills: Develops oral communication and listening comprehension through dialogues, discussions, and interactive activities.
- Reading and Writing Skills: Enhances reading comprehension and written communication.
B) Intermediate Levels (B1, B2)
Building on foundational skills and expanding vocabulary.
Duration: 1 or 2 sessions for each level (4 or 8 months)
Content:
- Advanced Grammar and Writing: Focuses on complex sentence structures, essay writing, and academic language.
- Advanced Reading and Critical Thinking: Enhances comprehension of academic texts and critical analysis.
- Advanced Listening and Presentation Skills: Develops oral presentation skills and advanced listening comprehension.
- English Placement Exam preparation: i.e. TOEFL, EILTS, Duolingo.
C) Advanced Levels (C1, C2)
Developing proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. This level prepares students for higher education or advanced online employment opportunities.
Duration: 1 or 2 sessions for each level (4 or 8 months)
Content:
- Academic English: Focuses on academic writing, research, and advanced critical thinking.
- Advanced Listening and Presentation Skills: Continues to develop advanced communication skills.
- TOEFL Preparation (Continued): Ongoing TOEFL preparation to ensure students are ready to take the test.
Teaching Methodology includes:
- Interactive Learning: Utilize interactive e-learning platforms, multimedia resources, and real-life communication scenarios.
- Multimodal Approach: Incorporate audio, video, text, and interactive exercises to cater to different learning styles.
- Peer Learning: Encourage peer collaboration through group projects, discussions, and shared assignments.
- Feedback Mechanism: Provide regular feedback and assessments to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
