EDUCATION, CONNECTION, AND OPPORTUNITY FOR WOMEN IN AFGHANISTAN
Hila Initiative is a women-led, volunteer-powered nonprofit providing accessible online education, cultural exchange, mentorship, and skills pathways to young women in Afghanistan. We help students build confidence and move towards greater autonomy

Students receive twice-weekly online English instruction from A2 through C1, taught by dedicated volunteer educators.
Expressive Arts workshops support emotional well-being, while volunteer Conversation Partners provide weekly one-to-one conversation and meaningful cultural exchange.
Students access practical training in technology, photography, videography, graphic design, programming, and entrepreneurship through Hila and its nonprofit partners.

For many students, access to education depends on having reliable internet and a working device. Hila provides monthly internet credits and replaces inoperable mobile phones when needed, ensuring that financial and technical barriers do not prevent students from participating.
A monthly donation of $25 / 25€ provides one student the internet access she needs for 30 days to continue learning
Whether you become a volunteer English teacher or Conversation Partner, collaborate with us to provide skills-enrichment opportunities, or make a donation, your support creates meaningful and lasting opportunities for women in Afghanistan.
