At Hila, we aim to empower our students beyond the basic curriculum by offering "path forward" opportunities to support them in taking next steps in online education and career development. For our Spring 2025 Session, we are introducing three new opportunities. Students with at least a B1 level of English may participate in one or more of the following:
1. Personal & Professional Development Workshop
This interactive workshop focuses on effective communication, presentation and negotiation skills in preparation for entrance into the global workplace.
2. Business Development Training
This program is designed for students interested in entrepreneurship. It covers fundamental business skills and practical strategies. Courses are offered in collaboration with the Women's Business Development Council (WBDC), a Connecticut association that supports women entrepreneurs. Students are mentored in course selection and completion.
3. Information Technology Courses
In association with a sister NGO in Paris, we are enabling the enrollment by students n IT courses on Coursera, a global online course provider that offers certifications, and degrees in a variety of subjects. IT experts guide students interested in developing coding and IT skills in the selection of courses and in the successful completion of courses and certificates.
Each of these opportunities provides students with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to advance academically and professionally.
